BKV GmbH can be regarded as the German plastics industry’s visible contribution to embracing product stewardship. The entire value chain for plastics is combined within BKV. Our shareholders are approx. 50 companies and organizations involved in the production and processing of plastics as well as plastics machinery manufacturers who take their product stewardship seriously. BKV deals, at the interface between technology, legislation and shareholder interests, with topics of recovery of plastic waste respectively plastic-rich waste streams. In this regard, questions of resource efficiency play a role. Currently in the focus are the legal framework for recycling, solutions for avoidance respectively reduction in entry of further plastic waste into the sea (marine litter), as well as questions for efficient recovery of not for material recycling useable plastic waste.
